Tahitian Odyssey invites you to climb Pihaiateta, the fifth highest peak on the island of Tahiti. Culminating at 1,742 meters, the summit of Pihaiateta offers an exceptional view of the Tuauru valley (Mahina district) and the Te Faiti valley (Papenoo district), with the neighboring peaks of Pito Hiti and Orohena .

It is a mixed climb, between hiking and climbing on certain sections. The trail is wild, very vegetated and greasy (mud, wet earth). Throughout the ascent, there are numerous rope passages and ridge passages.

 

Sunrise Formula.

- Departure* between 12 a.m. and 1 a.m. (depending on weather conditions)

- The first part is on 6 km of motorable tracks (The Thousand Springs).

- The ascent of Pihaiateta (1,742 m) then continues with many rope passages to reach one of the most beautiful ridges in Tahiti, leading straight to the summit to watch the sunrise.

*A later departure is also possible, for those who do not necessarily wish to attend the Sunrise.
